Celia Vega, of Fundación para el Desarrollo Comunitario (FUNDECOM) will lead the project, “Empowered, I Exercise my Rights to Live Free of Violence.” The project will involve 60 mothers and adolescents from marginalized neighborhoods in emotional recovery and healing. They will also provide training to the mothers and adolescents on financial literacy and identifying economic and entrepreneurial opportunities. The organization will also develop an advocacy and communication campaign around preventing early unions.

Martha Amador, 28, of Fundación Mujer y Desarrollo Económico Comunitario (FUMDEC) will lead the project, “In Action for Girls and Adolescents” which will carry out trainings for 100 girls and adolescents, as well as their parents and municipal leaders to prevent early unions. Additionally, they will develop and execute a communication campaign focused on preventing early unions at the municipal level.
