Irma González Neri

Irma is 33 years old.  She is originally from Puebla and holds a degree in Sustainable Tourism and Hotel Management, with a certificate course in Tourism Planning and Sustainable Development from the University of the Caribbean and the University of Nebrija.

She has more than 12 years of experience as a researcher, author of scientific articles and a speaker on the topics of violence prevention, public safety perception, gender perspective and climate change as part of the Observatory on Social and Gender Violence and the Local Urban Observatory for the City of Cancun, among other organizations.

In 2006, she won the State Award for Science, Technology and Innovation Recognition in the Early Research category.

She has worked at CIAM Cancún since 2013 as the Coordinator for Project Management, Monitoring and Evaluation.
